Here we are celebrating the season of love and light, promise and hope! May the season be filled with joy for each and every one…And so here we are, arriving at the end of the year. 2025 looms right in front of us. 2024 was a good year here at the farm. We successfully grew organic flowers for a beautiful wedding in Portland. All our animals are healthy and happy.
We have arrived at the end of summer. Indeed, this coming Sunday is the fall equinox. It is the time of Harvest, the gathering of all the bounties that the earth, in her generosity, allowed us to plant and nurture. Now we reap into our barns and kitchens all the hay and grain for our animals and store (canning and freezing) the garden produce to nurture ourselves during the frozen winter. It is truly a miracle-filled time of year when everything comes to fruition.
Here we are almost mid-June! Soon spring will introduce us to summer! Ready or not, here she comes! This is a very busy time of year for the Farm indeed!
Can you believe I’m writing this as we approach the end of the second month of 2024? Time is flying to be sure!
Well, Dear Friends, here we are experiencing autumn. We have to bid a fond farewell to the lushness of summer. The light dwindles, the bird songs soften, and the crickets are silent.
